B. Keith Photography is based in Arlington, VA, and creates professional headshots for individuals in the studio or on location in the DC area.

Your headshot is often the first impression a client, recruiter, or colleague gets of you. During your session, we focus on creating a comfortable atmosphere, directing your posture and expression, and reviewing images together on screen, so the final photo looks natural and confident instead of staged.

How it works

  1. Book your session. Choose the studio or an on-location session at your office.

  2. Get the prep guide. We send a short guide on what to wear and how to prepare.

  3. Your session. One hour of lighting, direction, and two to three looks, with a live review as we shoot.

  4. Choose your images. Select your favorites during the latter part of the session, and retouched files arrive within 7 business days of your session.

Pricing

Session: $450 per session. Includes professional lighting, posing direction, up to three looks, and a private online gallery. Studio or on location. Images are purchased separately.

Retouched images: $195 each. Each image is professionally retouched and delivered in full resolution and web sizes, with usage rights for your professional profiles, website, and press.

Add-ons

  • Additional time: $450 per hour, 1-hour minimum.

  • Hair and makeup artist: quoted per project

  • Rush delivery: 25% of your order

  • On-location travel: included within 15 miles of Arlington, with a mileage fee beyond that

Small groups of 2 to 7 people: $325 per person, including one retouched image. Session time is 15-30 minutes per person.

Studio

Studio sessions take place at our favorite studio in Dupont Circle, Washington, DC, about 4 minutes from the Dupont Circle Metro, with parking nearby.

FAQ

How much do professional headshots cost in Washington, DC and Arlington, VA? Sessions are $450 per hour, and each retouched image is $195. A one-hour session with one image is $645, and with three images it is $1,035.

How long is a session? One hour covers most people, including a quick outfit change and a live review of the images.

How many images should I order? We recommend one to three: a primary photo for LinkedIn, a second for your website or bio, and an alternate for press or speaking.

What should I wear? Solid colors in navy, gray, black, or jewel tones work best, and fine patterns can distract on camera. Bring [two to three] options, and we send a prep guide after you book.

Can you photograph me at my office? Yes. On-location sessions use the same $450 hourly rate, and travel is included within 15 miles of Arlington.

Do you retouch the photos? Yes. Retouching is natural: we clean up distractions and keep your skin and features looking like you.

What if I hate being photographed? These sessions are built for that. We guide your pose and expression step by step and show you the results as we go.

Where can I use my images? On LinkedIn, your website, email signatures, press, speaker bios, and other professional uses.

How soon will I get my images? Your retouched images within 7 business days of your session. Rush delivery is available.

How does booking a studio session work? Choose a preferred date and time. Because we reserve studio space for each session, we confirm your time within 1 business day, then send a session fee invoice, which includes a 50% non-refundable portion, due within 24 hours to hold your time. The 50% portion is credited toward your total, and the balance is due at your session. You pay nothing until your time is confirmed.

What is your rescheduling policy? With at least 48 hours' notice, your session fee transfers to your new date at no additional charge. With less notice, or if you cancel, the session fee is not refunded. See our terms and conditions for details.
